Indian Creek Orchard Gardens

Indian Creek Orchard Gardens

Marisa Buccione & Scott Sigurdson

Indian Creek Orchard Gardens is an organically managed micro farm, intimate in scale. We are nestled on five acres along the shores of Indian Creek, just outside Pakenham. At Indian Creek Orchard Gardens we are experimenting with a hybrid of permaculture, agroforestry and organic farming principles. Our vegetables are alley cropped between rows of fruit trees, bush fruits and aisles of grape vines. We have purposefully left tracts of our farm wild, especially on the creekside.

We value what nature brings to the table and attempt to work with it, bringing our intervention to a minimum. We favour low tech, 100% natural, cultural and biological practices over chemical and heavily mechanized ones. Some of what we are attempting to do is tried and true and a lot of it not so much. Every day in the garden is a lesson.

Our goal is to provide a satisfying stream of safe, organic, wholesome fruit and vegetables for our community the whole growing season long.

Blue Shoes Honey

Blue Shoes Honey

Brian Lacey

Blue Shoes is a family business where our goal is to produce a superior quality, artisanal honey while treating our bees with love and respect. At a time when many businesses believe that bigger is better, our bees have taught us that small is beautiful. We plan to maintain a modest operation that serves the local community and allows us to treat our bees as partners rather than possessions. To guarantee the purity of our honey we never use synthetic chemicals or antibiotics on our bees. Our honey is cold-processed (Raw) or minimally heated (Liquid) in small batches to preserve its pollen content, unique floral character and living enzymes.

In gratitude to honeybees and all pollinators, 10% of our profits are donated to pollinator research and conservation efforts.

Art Is In Bakery

Art Is In Bakery

Kevin and Stephanie Mathieson

Kevin Mathieson is a classically trained pastry chef with serious chops in the kitchen. He and his wife Stephanie, created Art Is In Bakery as a place to nourish their shared passion for food.

Dense, delicious, naturally leavened, exquisite loaves made from scratch is the heart and soul of what we do, and where it all began. But there is much more to Art Is In Bakery than bread; we also offer a large selection of mouth-watering, handmade viennoiserie inspired by the fine boulangeries of Paris. Our edgy café-bakery breakfast and lunch menu features egg dishes, gourmet sandwiches, soups and daily specials. We start with real ingredients, and sometimes swerve in wildly decadent directions with one goal in mind. Making you happy. Every day.
