The Herb and Spice Shop is one of Ottawa’s best known green grocers. It first opened in 1973 as Ottawa’s first bulk natural food store, and although it has since changed to a focus on fresh food the store still stays true to its roots and continues to offer natural foods. The store now specializes in bringing the very freshest produce, both conventional and organic to the city all year round. The store has always brought in local product, but is now focusing more energy on increasing the local product available in the store. Be sure to stop in for a visit, as the 30 friendly staff are ready to serve you from 8am – 8pm every weekday and on weekends 9-7 (Saturday) and 9-6 (Sunday).
